What's open in Punda after dark.
A short, opinionated list of what's actually running in Punda this summer. We update this through the season — bookmark it, or come back when you're booking a Willemstad trip.
Cocktail rooms
- Bar de Copa 26 — Kuiperstraat 10, in Hanchi Punda. Pop-up for 39 nights. Five signature drinks. Walk-ins first. Door is here.
- Cascada Rooftop — On the Hendrikplein side. Big view, big crowd, golden hour sweet spot.
- Café Copacabana — Keukenstraat. Older crowd, longer pour, neighbourhood feel.
- The waterfront kiosks — Open every night the cruise port is in; check the schedule for a real sit-down vs. a quick cup.
Kitchens worth staying for
- Plasa Bieu (old market) — Krioyo classics. Stoba di cabritu, keshi yena, funchi, aros moro. Closes by 17:00 most days, so lunch or early dinner only.
- Pietermaai walk — A short walk east of Punda; bigger menus, late kitchens.
- Otrobanda lounges — Cross the bridge after the bridge has reopened; restaurant-bars stay quieter.
Pop-ups running summer 2026
- Bar de Copa 26 (us) — 39 nights, summer 2026, Kuiperstraat 10.
- Watch this space — the pop-up calendar in Punda is healthier than it's been in years. We'll add others as they confirm.
Closed days to know
Curaçao's hospitality week is unusual: many smaller Punda rooms close on Mondays and Fridays, not the European pattern. Plan accordingly — if you're here for a long weekend, Tuesday and Saturday are your strongest nights.
The bridge calendar
The Queen Emma swinging bridge is a working piece of port infrastructure; it opens for ships unpredictably. If your evening involves crossing it, build in 15 minutes of slack. The free ferry runs while the bridge is open.
One drink, one neighbourhood
If you only have one night and you can only pick one drink, do an Awa di Lamunchi in a small Punda hanchi room. It's the single drink that tastes most like the island.
List updated weekly through summer 2026. If something we've named has closed, message us — we'll fix the entry.
